Israeli television presenter Guy Pines arrived at Ben-Gurion Airport and found himself in a long queue of passengers, prompting him to post a pointed Instagram story criticizing the country's policy on Shabbat public transport.
TV host: Can we govern without chareidim?
Guy Pines encounters long line at airport after Shabbos flight, blames chareidi parties for lack of public transport on Shabbos: This is a purely political decision

Alongside a photograph of the crowded terminal, Pines wrote: "The line stretches deep inside the terminal," before explaining what he believes is behind the situation.
"This is a purely political decision"
"You understand that we've internalized that it's a law of nature that there are no buses or trains on Shabbos, but this is a purely political decision," Pines wrote.
According to him, even those who choose to fly during Shabbat should have the option of using public transport to return home: "Everyone here flew on Shabbat, it's his right to have a way to get home."
He concluded the story with the sentence: "Can we have a term without chareidim in government? Thank you."
