Former MK Yehuda Glick has been barred from the Temple Mount for six months by Jerusalem Police, the Temple Mount Administration announced Sunday evening. The ban follows Glick's recitation of a prayer on the Mount for the recovery of Neriya Leiter, son of Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter, who was wounded in a terror attack at the Maccabim checkpoint on Route 443 two weeks ago.

The order was signed by Jerusalem District Commander Superintendent Avshalom Peled, who invoked Section 4A of the Police Ordinance. The commander stated he believes the measure is "necessary to prevent serious harm to life or property."
Under the terms of the order, Glick "may not enter, remain, or be present in the area of the Temple Mount and its approaches, except to the extent permitted by a decision from me." The ban runs from September 24, 2026, through March 24, 2027.
