Police in the Judea and Samaria District (known in Hebrew as Mateh Shai) are investigating a terror attack that took place Monday at Chavat Chananya, an outpost in the Binyamin region of Judea and Samaria. According to initial reports, a Palestinian terrorist arrived at a grazing area near the outpost armed with a knife and a lighter, set fire to an Israeli vehicle belonging to the outpost, and threatened residents who approached him.
Residents of the outpost, recognizing the danger, drove their vehicle toward the terrorist and struck him, neutralizing the threat. No Israelis were injured in the incident.
Officers from the Binyamin station in the Shomron subdistrict arrived quickly at the scene along with forensic identification teams from the Judea and Samaria District, and opened a comprehensive investigation into the incident. The burned vehicle and the knife were found at the scene.
