Haaretz writer: "Bennett disgusts me"

Nir Gontarz of Haaretz attacked former prime minister Naftali Bennett in unusually personal terms: I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He disgusts me. What does he want?!

Nir Gontarz, a journalist at Haaretz, appeared on the 'All In' podcast and launched an unusually personal attack on former prime minister Naftali Bennett, now head of the Yachad party.

"Bennett disgusts me," Gontarz said. "You ask me why? I don't know! There's something about him that doesn't sit right with me, I can't stand to look at him. Something about the dimples and the forced smile. When I smile it's a real smile, with him it's not. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Not a single word, I can't connect to anything. I don't even know what he wants. What does he want? He wants to be prime minister, beyond that what does he want?!" he wondered.

In the past day, social media has been in an uproar following Bennett's statement that immediately after the elections he will act to cancel "the judicial reform." A number of right-wing voters who had soured on Netanyahu and said they were considering voting for Bennett announced they had changed their minds.
