Filber: Results will differ from survey

With turnout at 44.9% by 2pm, highest at that hour since 1973, pollster Shlomo Filber, who predicted a Netanyahu win and 60+ seats for the right, says the results will certainly be different from the last survey presented

Pollster Shlomo Filber, who throughout the campaign predicted that Netanyahu would be re-elected and the right-wing bloc would win over 60 seats, said Tuesday on Channel 14 that "the results will certainly be different from the last survey we presented."

Social-media users were quick to celebrate the remark, claiming he was preparing the ground for a stinging defeat for the right and for the collapse of his own forecasts.

According to the Central Elections Committee, 44.9% of eligible voters had cast ballots by 2pm, compared with 38.9% at the same hour in the 2022 elections. That is the highest turnout at that hour since at least the 1973 elections.
