Israeli radio host Avri Gilad opened his 103fm programme on Friday with a stark warning about the date itself and the political developments unfolding in Washington and Jerusalem.
"Today is the 4th of November. Do you remember the date? Does it mean anything to you at all?" Gilad began, before drawing a comparison to the Jewish calendar's darkest day. "The day of Rabin's murder, like Tisha B'Av, it's a date that seems to attract bad things. Just as so many calamities in Jewish history attached themselves to Tisha B'Av, look how many things are happening on this 4th of November. Trump is also losing, from our perspective, these are terrible news."
Gilad presented a bleak analysis of how the political results in the United States would affect Israel's domestic arena and its foreign relations.
