President Trump on Monday referred to the nuclear negotiations currently underway between Iran and the United States, and expressed satisfaction with the progress, stating: "On the Iran situation, I think we’re doing very well, I think a deal is going to be made there.”

In response to questions from reporters, Trump responded: “We’ll have something without having to start dropping bombs all over the place.”

A third round of indirect talks on the nuclear issue between the United States and Iran took place last Saturday in Oman and lasted about six hours. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said at the end of the talks that "there is seriousness and determination on both sides, but we are cautious with our optimism about the success of the talks."

According to Araghchi, "The negotiations are very serious and technical, but there are still differences – both on key issues and on details." A senior Trump administration official described the talks as positive and productive. The parties agreed to continue the talks, apparently in Europe.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday called for the complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, even as U.S.-Iran negotiations showed signs of progress after a third round of indirect talks held over the weekend in Oman.

The discussions, aimed at reaching a deal that would block Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon in exchange for lifting harsh U.S. sanctions, are expected to move into a fourth round in the coming days.

Speaking at the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) policy conference in Jerusalem, Netanyahu emphasized that any agreement must eliminate Iran’s ability to enrich uranium. “As far as Israel is concerned, a real deal that works is one that removes Iran’s capacity to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons,” he declared.
