U.S. President Donald Trump is pressing Israel to initiate military action against Hezbollah following the group's non-compliance with a disarmament deadline outlined in the 2024 ceasefire agreement, according to Israeli media reports.

The ceasefire, brokered by the U.S., required Hezbollah's disarmament by the Lebanese Armed Forces by December 31, 2025. Trump reportedly conveyed his support for an Israeli offensive during a December 29, 2025, meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago, stating that Hezbollah must be fully disarmed.

Last night (Saturday), Israeli Channel 12 journalist Amit Segal reported that Trump is actively encouraging action, describing the president's position as insistent on enforcement after missed deadlines.
