The US Embassy in Israel released its third warning today (Thursday) regarding the need to take precautions for a possible escalation in the region, particularly a possible Israeli strike in Iran. In particular, the warning took note of a possible Iranian retaliatory strike involving missiles and drones.

Here is the full statement:

"Due to high tensions in the region, the security environment remains complex and can change quickly.  We remind U.S. citizens in Israel and the broader Middle East region of the continued need for caution and encourage them to monitor the news for breaking developments.

"Potential for incoming rockets or attacks: U.S. citizens should know the location of the nearest shelter in the event of a red alert as security incidents, including mortar, rocket, and missile fire, and unmanned aircraft system (UAS) intrusions, often take place without any warning.  The security environment is complex and can change quickly."
