A high-ranking official within the Iranian regime has lashed out at the United States' 15-point ceasefire framework, describing the offer as "unacceptable" and "extreme." Speaking to Al Jazeera, the official expressed deep resentment toward the proposal, casting severe doubt on the future of diplomatic negotiations.
"Washington’s 15-point proposal has reached Tehran; it is an extreme, unreasonable offer that shows zero regard for Iranian sovereignty," the senior source stated. He further characterized the document as a "distorted and misleading plan" presented as a bilateral agreement while effectively demanding a total Iranian capitulation.
According to the official, the U.S. framework, pushed by the Trump administration, imposes sweeping requirements across four primary sectors:
- Nuclear Program: A permanent and total cessation of uranium enrichment at all levels. The plan demands the complete closure and dismantling of enrichment facilities at Fordow and Natanz, alongside upgraded, intrusive IAEA inspections.
- Missile Project: A minimum five-year freeze on all missile development and assembly. Following this period, the proposal mandates strict limits on range and quantity, the dismantling of long-range systems, and adherence to binding international restrictions.
- Regional Activity: A total halt to the funding of regional proxy groups and a formal commitment to respect the sovereignty of neighboring nations, specifically Lebanon and Iraq.
- Civil Rights & Prisoners: The immediate release of all foreign and political prisoners, coupled with significant, verifiable improvements in Iran's domestic human rights record.
The official concluded that the proposal "does not even look good on paper," signaling that the gulf between Washington's demands and Tehran's objectives remains vast as Operation Epic Fury continues.
