The United States Secret Service has confirmed it is investigating a video broadcast on Iranian state-controlled media that contained threats against Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump.

The footage displayed locations linked to Barron Trump's movements and concluded with an offer of a $10 million reward for information about his whereabouts.

Secret Service spokesman Nate Herring stated that the agency is "aware of the video and investigating anything that could be interpreted as a threat against the individuals we protect." He added that "for operational security reasons, we do not discuss intelligence matters related to protection."

Iranian state media outlets have published multiple threats targeting Trump and his family members in recent months, amid ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Last month, Secret Service Deputy Director Matt Quinn acknowledged the threat publicly, stating: "It's no secret that Iran has said publicly that it wants to kill President Trump."
