Tehran’s Iron Grip Shattered: Top Basij Leadership Eliminated in Daring Nighttime Raid
An Israeli precision strike has reportedly wiped out the Basij high command during a secret meeting at a makeshift tent complex. Military officials confirm the elimination of the Basij chief and dozens of regional commanders who were hiding in the desert to avoid assassination.

An Israeli official has confirmed that a precision strike in Tehran targeted a makeshift "tent complex" used as a mobile headquarters for the Basij paramilitary force.
According to military correspondent Itay Blumenthal, the site was hosting a high-level meeting of district and regional commanders at the time of the attack. Israeli intelligence indicates that Basij leadership had abandoned permanent headquarters, fearing they were being tracked, and had moved operations to the improvised site.
Israeli officials say additional senior Basij members were also eliminated, including a local commander in Shiraz.
According to CBN Media Group:
The operation reportedly also targeted senior members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad hiding in Iran. The primary target was Akram al-Ajouri, the group’s deputy leader, who had survived a previous Israeli assassination attempt in 2019 in Syria during Operation Black Belt. Ajouri and other PIJ leaders, including Mohammad al-Hindi, were reportedly in an underground compound in the Shiite holy city of Qom when the strike occurred.
The use of a tent encampment as a command center demonstrates the severe disruption of Iranian military communications and the high level of paranoia within the regime's security apparatus.

The strike is viewed as a significant blow to the Basij's ability to maintain internal order and coordinate regional defenses as the war enters its third week.
