Ex-Conservative podcaster Candace Owens has intensified her scrutiny of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) by launching an investigative podcast series that targets Erika Kirk, who assumed the role of CEO following the murder of her husband, TPUSA co-founder Charlie Kirk, on September 10, 2025.

Owens, a former TPUSA employee and once-close associate of Charlie Kirk, has used her platform to promote theories suggesting that Kirk was "betrayed" by people within his inner circle, including possible involvement from TPUSA staff.

She has also speculated about international elements, including France, Israel, and Egypt, potentially playing a role in the assassination, while accusing law enforcement of a cover-up.

The series, described as a "drip campaign" of episodes, includes allegations against Erika Kirk and her family. In one recent development, Owens claimed to have documents exposing the criminal past of Erika Kirk's mother, suggesting identity fraud.

Owens has publicly referred to TPUSA as a "Godforsaken organization" and stated she has "all the proof" of betrayal in Kirk's death.

Tensions escalated when TPUSA, under Erika Kirk's leadership, sent Owens a cease-and-desist letter, accusing her of violating a non-disparagement clause from her time with the organization and causing harm through her claims.

Despite a 4.5-hour private meeting between Owens and Erika Kirk in December 2025, Owens maintained her suspicions about certain TPUSA employees and rejected the official narrative that the charged suspect, Tyler Robinson, acted alone.

Erika Kirk has publicly urged Owens to stop spreading these theories, emphasizing during a CBS town hall that the allegations are baseless and harmful to her family and the organization.

"When you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my Charlie Kirk Show family... no," Kirk stated in a Fox News interview.

The Treasury Department confirmed that no tax-exempt entities overseen by Erika Kirk, including TPUSA, are under IRS investigation, countering Owens' fraud allegations.

Owens' series has drawn criticism from within conservative circles, including Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who distanced the movement from her claims.

Even President Donald Trump's administration has reportedly attempted to curb similar conspiracy promotions by Owens.

As the series continues, it highlights ongoing rifts in conservative media, with Owens' platform gaining views amid the controversy.

TPUSA has fact-checked Owens' claims, warning of potential escalation.
