Candace Owens Sparks Online Firestorm Over Kanye West Music Sampling Dispute and Industry "Slavery" Claims

Candace Owens, the self-proclaimed truth warrior, is now whining like a spoiled diva over $40k for seven measly seconds of Ye's autotuned ramblings, painting Universal as a cabal of devil-worshipping kid-touchers while conveniently forgetting she once cheered on the same capitalist contracts that took advantage of artists like him.

Ex- conservative commentator and now full blown deranged lunatic Candace Owens is dominating trends on X and sparking heated debates across social media following a viral thread posted yesterday, January 10, where she detailed her "personal struggle" with licensing a brief sample from Kanye West's (Ye's) music for her podcast intro.

In the post, Owens revealed she contacted Ye last year, urging him to re-record his masters à la Taylor Swift to bypass licensing fees from Universal Music Group, which she accused of being "satanic pedophiles" and "industrial Luciferians" intent on destroying his life.

Owens claimed Universal demanded $40,000, later updated to $100,000 annually, for just seven seconds of Ye's voice, equating to about 24 minutes of usage per year, framing it as a form of "modern slavery."

She proposed a legal overhaul, suggesting an addendum to the 13th Amendment to mandate industries release artists' rights post-cancellation or public fallout, arguing entities can't "kill a slave and then force them to still work for you."

Expressing spiritual reluctance to pay (whatever that means), Owens appealed for a "Team God" solution while admitting reluctance to stream Ye's old catalog knowing it benefits the label, though praising his "Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" era.

Her many detractors correctly label it as grifting, implying a veiled donation plea, hypocrisy for her prior support of capitalist contracts, and antisemitism, linking it to her recent endorsement of Ye's 2022 "death con 3 on Jewish people" tweet as a "vibe."

Suggestions abound for her to collaborate with Ye on fresh content instead.

Ye has not commented publicly, but the duo's longstanding friendship includes joint events and Owens' staunch defense during his 2022 scandals. This episode dovetails with Owens' bitter fallout from The Daily Wire, her ex-employer, likening her termination to a "public slave hanging" and critiquing media "agendas" in rhetoric some see as ironically "woke.
