Two warships belonging to Ecuador's navy crashed into one another during a maritime training exercise near the Galápagos Islands, in an unusual incident that occurred during operational activities as part of the multinational "Galapcx 4" drill.
According to reports, the patrol vessel Isla San Salvador collided with the missile corvette Los Rios in waters adjacent to Santa Cruz Island. The collision took place while both ships were operating as part of the exercise, which was designed to test naval capabilities and inter-force cooperation across various scenarios.
