The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating social media accounts that appear to have had prior knowledge of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. According to sources familiar with the investigation, at least seven different accounts made posts that referenced the date of the killing and fantasized about his death. All of the posts were reportedly deleted in the days following the event.

One unsettling post from an account on X, dated September 3, stated, "itd be funny if someone like charlie kirk got shot on september 10th LMAO." Another user, posting over a month before the shooting on August 6, wrote that "september 10th will be a very interesting day." After the assassination, the same account followed up with "I plead the fifth." The FBI has received archived copies of these posts from a source who flagged them for the agency.

The investigation is also examining potential connections between these accounts and the suspect, Tyler Robinson. One of the accounts, named "churbum75m," which posted "WE FUCKING DID IT" minutes after Kirk was pronounced dead, reportedly followed Robinson’s roommate on social media.

The posts, which do not establish a formal conspiracy, mention Kirk by name and wish for his death. Several of the accounts under investigation appear to be associated with LGBT subcultures. One user, who identified as nonbinary, had previously wished death upon Kirk and predicted "something big will happen" when he set foot on campus. Another individual, who appears to be transgender, posted a video the night before the shooting stating that Kirk "does not know what’s coming tomorrow," adding, "This isn’t a threat. It’s a promise."

The new probe into these social media accounts adds another dimension to the FBI's ongoing investigation into whether pro-transgender groups knew of Robinson’s plan in advance.
