Trump Vows Swift Response After Iran Strikes Israeli Oil Refinery
President Donald Trump warned Iran to expect a U.S. response "shortly" following a missile strike on Israel's largest oil refinery.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the New York Post, Trump put Tehran on notice after Iranian forces launched a strike on the Haifa refinery in northern Israel today (Monday). When asked about his planned response, the president said simply: "You'll see shortly."
Trump urged the Iranian regime to reach a deal quickly, warning that additional U.S. military force in the region could inflict catastrophic damage on Iran.
Israel's Fire and Rescue Service reported that debris from an intercepted missile sparked fires at an industrial building and a fuel tanker near the Haifa facility. The attack was part of a broader Iranian offensive that also targeted a water and electrical plant in Kuwait, amid what officials describe as a monthlong regional conflict centered on energy infrastructure.
The president struck a cautiously optimistic tone regarding Iran's internal political landscape, describing what he called a "total regime change" in Tehran. Trump claimed the old guard had been eliminated and replaced by a new group he characterized as "much more reasonable."
Trump told the New York Post that the U.S. would know "in about a week" whether Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, is willing to work with Washington — signaling that diplomatic channels remain open even as the president threatened military consequences.
