A 14-year-old girl suffered severe injuries on Thursday in Bnei Brak while preparing for Shabbat. The teen's hand became trapped in a mixer while she was kneading dough for challah, resulting in the amputation of several fingers.
Emergency medical volunteers from United Hatzalah, an Israeli volunteer-based emergency medical service organization, were dispatched to the family's home on Ginot David Street in Bnei Brak. The responders provided immediate medical treatment, stopping the bleeding and bandaging the wounds before the girl was transported to the hospital.
