Los Angeles wildfires - Arab social media declare them "punishment from heaven"
Arab social media celebrates and rejoices at the sight of the huge fires in California; Palestinian channels compare the destruction in California to the refugee camps in Gaza.
The massive fires in California, which have been raging for almost a week and have destroyed thousands of buildings and caused dozens of deaths, are a source of joy to some. This can clearly be seen on Arab and Palestinian social networks, where the glee at the images of the destruction is not at all hidden.
One much-mentioned and very popular mantra is the claim that God is punishing the United States for supporting Israel in its war against Gaza, which they claim caused mass murder.

Another approach connects Trump's promise that "if the hostages do not return by the time I enter the White House, hell will open upon Gaza", to the Los Angeles fires as if to say: You promised hell in the Middle East – hell came to you.
