President Donald Trump has once again addressed the ongoing conflict with Iran and its implications, renewing his pledge to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons at any cost. Speaking to American media, Trump described what he characterized as a genuine danger that Iran would actually use nuclear weapons if it managed to develop or obtain them.
Regarding negotiations with Iran, which he has ordered frozen for the time being, Trump explained: "Maybe at some point we'll resume talks, but right now, I think things are going so well. But maybe at some point. Look, it's very simple—they have to get rid of them completely; they have to get rid of nuclear weapons. Iran cannot have nuclear weapons."
The president emphasized his insistence on complete Iranian nuclear disarmament, stating: "You know why? Because they will use it. And we're not going to let them use it. So, Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. And they won't."
