Tlaib Backs Socialist Challengers

Tlaib Rallies to Unseat Two Jewish House Democrats in Florida

Rep. Tlaib campaigns for DSA-backed candidates against Moskowitz and Wasserman Schultz in August Florida primaries. Fine warns of antisemitism surge on far left.

Rashida Tlaib

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is rallying in Fort Lauderdale to back socialists challenging Reps. Jared Moskowitz and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, both Democrats from Florida, in their primaries.

Tlaib is appearing at a Fort Lauderdale rally held by left-wing groups in support of three congressional candidates, including two socialists running to unseat the incumbents. Rep. Randy Fine, R-Fla., told Fox News Digital that he believes it is "no coincidence" that Tlaib is targeting two of the "remaining Jewish Democrats."

Fine said the far-left surge in Democratic nominations is "dangerous" and accused the far left of promoting antisemitism. Democratic Socialist candidates linked to the DSA have already toppled House Democrats in New York, Colorado and Michigan.

Tlaib faces longstanding accusations of antisemitism over her rhetoric on Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which she denies. The primary elections will take place on August 18, 2026.
