Jack White, frontman of the rock band The White Stripes, launched a scathing attack on US President Donald Trump following remarks the president made at a campaign rally in Nebraska. White posted his response publicly on Instagram, addressing both Trump and his supporters in Los Angeles and San Diego.
At the Nebraska rally, Trump referenced the ongoing confrontation with Iran and stated that Iran could "wipe out" Los Angeles and San Diego. The audience at the event responded with applause.
White directed his Instagram post specifically at Republicans and conservatives living in Los Angeles and San Diego, urging them to watch video footage of Trump's remarks.
The musician also condemned the crowd's reaction at the rally. In his post, White wrote that Trump's supporters applauded and cheered following the president's comments. He used harsh language in criticising both Trump and those who support him.
White called Trump "the worst American of all time." He also said he cannot understand the loyalty Trump's supporters show toward the president.
This is not the first clash between the two. White has publicly criticised Trump on previous occasions.
