The Nobel Goes to... TRUMP!
Nobel Bid: Hostage Families Nominate President Trump for Peace Prize Over Deal Efforts
Israeli hostage families nominate U.S. President Trump for Nobel Peace Prize, citing his commitment to securing the release of remaining captives held in Gaza since 2023.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, the civil organization representing the families of those held in Gaza, sent a letter to the Nobel Prize Committee on Monday, strongly recommending US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The dramatic appeal stems from the families' belief that the US President's direct, personal involvement is the critical factor in ongoing negotiations to secure the release of the remaining captives, nearly two years after the October 7, 2023, attack.
"He Will Not Rest"
The families' letter cited Trump’s personal commitment to resolving the crisis as the core reason for the highly public nomination.
“We strongly urge you to award President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize because he has vowed he will not rest and will not stop until every last hostage is back home,” the letter stated.
The Forum added that the President’s determination has made seemingly impossible diplomatic achievements possible, stating that "President Trump’s determination to bring peace made possible what many said was impossible."
A Critical Turning Point
The appeal comes at what the families described as a "critical turning point," providing a surge of hope that "the nightmare may soon be over." Approximately 48 hostages remain in captivity in Gaza.
The nomination followed a recent communication from the White House. Two years after the abductions, President Trump had written to the Forum, stating that his administration was "steadfastly committed to seeing an end to this conflict."
In that same letter, Trump acknowledged the families' resilience:
“My entire administration has been touched by the fact that, through the unimaginable pain and suffering of spending two years not knowing where your loved ones are, you have continued telling their stories and advocating on their behalf.”
The President has since publicly expressed his "sincerest thanks" to the Forum for their nomination to the prestigious Committee. The families' emotional appeal reflects a desperate, strategic effort to utilize Trump's unique diplomatic leverage and focus to bring their loved ones home.
