WATCH: "I Am Sure of It": Trump Confident Deal Will Be Sealed as Netanyahu Arrives at White House

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss Trump’s 21-point plan to end the Gaza war, with the US administration confident a deal is imminent despite reports of deep diplomatic pressure on Netanyahu to accept the framework.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House this evening (Monday) for a crucial meeting with US President Donald Trump, who is pushing a detailed, 21-point plan to end the Gaza war. The high-stakes summit places Netanyahu at a crossroads: accept Trump’s framework or risk a severe diplomatic rift with the American president.

Standing alongside Netanyahu at the White House entrance, President Trump was asked if he believed a deal would be signed. He responded confidently, “I am sure of it.” This optimism was echoed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who told Fox News, “We are very close to an agreement, it will be a very busy day at the White House.” She confirmed the President "expects both sides to agree" to the 21-point document delivered by White House Envoy Steve Witkoff.

White House sources are convinced an agreement could be announced immediately after the meeting, although Hamas has not yet given a green light. Trump himself told a news outlet that the plan is in its “final stages” and claimed Netanyahu supports it, despite the Prime Minister’s public statements remaining vague.

The pressure on Netanyahu is immense. A Trump advisor involved in the plan indicated that the White House believes a refusal by Netanyahu could result in a heavy political price. An unnamed senior American official involved in the talks bluntly stated, “Everyone, and I mean everyone, is exhausted with Bibi.”

Diplomatic efforts intensified over the weekend. Israeli sources reported that gaps between the US and Israel narrowed significantly during a lengthy Sunday meeting involving Netanyahu, Envoy Witkoff, and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who has returned to play a prominent role as the administration's "day-after" expert for Gaza.

Adding to the complexity, Trump spoke with the Emir of Qatar before meeting Netanyahu and is scheduled to speak with him again afterward. This comes amid claims from Arab nations that the US had already altered the deal’s text to accommodate Israeli demands. The White House insists the plan is not perfect but represents the best offer both sides can reasonably accept.

Other regional players are applying pressure. The United Arab Emirates has cautioned Netanyahu against annexing territory and is pressing him to support the Trump framework, warning that relations depend on progress toward a two-state solution and that annexation would halt further normalization with Arab states.

Despite the optimism in Washington, Hamas delivered a statement to a Saudi news channel saying it had not received any new proposal from mediators and had not yet met with the Egyptian negotiation delegation.
