Three U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command HC-130J Combat King II aircraft have been forward-deployed to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, arriving yesterday.

The aircraft, operating under the callsigns KING93, KING92, and KING91, flew directly from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona:

These specialized Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) aircraft are designed for long-range personnel recovery, helicopter refueling in contested airspace, and support for special operations missions. Their deployment comes amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East.

Flight tracking data and open-source intelligence confirmed the arrivals at Al Udeid, the largest U.S. air base in the region and headquarters for U.S. Central Command. No official statement has been released by the U.S. Air Force regarding the purpose of the deployment.
