Help is on the way

Is the U.S. About to Strike Iran?!

First, we read Lindsey Graham's many sinister and cryptic tweets and now Trump has joined in, too. The Iranians must be freaking out.

In a bold escalation of U.S. rhetoric toward the Iranian regime, President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he has canceled all scheduled meetings with Iranian officials until the "senseless killing" of protesters ceases. In a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump urged Iranian demonstrators to "KEEP PROTESTING" and "TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS," while promising that "HELP IS ON ITS WAY" and warning regime perpetrators that they "will pay a big price."

Trump's post, signed off with his signature "MIGA!!!" (Make Iran Great Again), did not specify the nature of the promised "help." However, U.S. officials familiar with the matter suggest options under consideration include enhancing internet access for protesters via satellite networks like Starlink to bypass regime blackouts, imposing fresh sanctions on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) leaders, launching targeted cyber operations against government infrastructure, or even authorizing military strikes on IRGC facilities if violence against civilians escalates further.

The president is set to convene with his national security team later today to deliberate on these measures, sources say.

This move marks a stark shift from recent diplomatic overtures. Just days ago, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi extended conciliatory messages to Trump, proposing talks to ease tensions. Trump's cancellation of meetings appears to rebuff these efforts, prioritizing support for the protesters over immediate dialogue. Khamenei, in a prior online jab, had mocked Trump, but Tehran has yet to respond directly to the latest statement.

Critics in Washington, particularly Democrats, have voiced concerns that Trump's inflammatory language could backfire. They argue it might endanger protesters by allowing the regime to portray them as U.S.-backed agents, potentially justifying harsher crackdowns, or provoke retaliation against American forces in the region.

From an Israeli perspective, the developments are being very closely watched amid heightened regional tensions. Iran-backed proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas continue to pose threats along Israel's borders. Israeli officials have quietly welcomed Trump's stance, viewing it as a potential deterrent against Iran's nuclear ambitions and support for terrorism.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office declined immediate comment, but sources indicate coordination with the U.S. on intelligence sharing regarding the protests

As protests rage on, the international community remains divided. European allies urge restraint and dialogue, while Gulf states like Saudi Arabia and the UAE express tacit support for regime change. For now, all eyes are on Washington and Tehran, where Trump's promise of aid could either ignite a revolution or spark a dangerous confrontation.
