Iran Under Heavy Pressure

Katz: Iran Attack Would Remove Restraints

Minister Katz tells ministry staff that Iranian strike would allow Israel to target all infrastructure, including energy facilities, warning Tehran faces "stone age" consequences

Defense Minister Israel Katz delivered a stark warning to Tehran on Thursday during a pre-Rosh Hashanah toast ceremony at the Defense Ministry. Any Iranian attack on Israel, he said, would free the Jewish state from all existing constraints and trigger devastating strikes on the regime's infrastructure.

"An Iranian attack on Israel would release Israel from all existing limitations on striking Iran", Katz told Defense Ministry employees. "We would strike all national military and civilian infrastructure in Iran, including energy infrastructure, and send Iran deep back into the stone age and darkness".

The defense minister noted that Iran's ayatollah regime is well aware of the price it would pay for choosing to attack. "The ayatollah regime in Iran knows very well why it hasn't attacked Israel after we struck them forcefully twice, destroyed their nuclear program, eliminated Khamenei, and severely damaged their strategic capabilities", he said.

However, Katz cautioned that the Iranian regime might resort to desperate measures. "There are signs we're seeing that indicate the heavy economic pressure they're under and the fear of uprising and regime collapse could push them toward acts of desperation", the minister explained.

Katz emphasized that Israel's security establishment is preparing for every possible scenario. "Israel is well prepared both defensively and offensively for any possibility, and the IDF is ready to carry out the mission", he stated.

According to international reports, Iran is under severe economic pressure due to stringent American sanctions. U.S. President Donald Trump recently declared that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic maritime passage vital to global oil supply, further intensifying pressure on Tehran.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Iran has conveyed serious warnings to the United States in recent months through diplomatic channels, threatening a wide-scale response to Israeli military actions in the region.

Israeli security officials assess that the economic and political pressure on the Iranian regime could indeed push Tehran toward drastic steps, particularly during the approaching holiday period.

The IDF is increasing its alert level and conducting drills to prepare for various escalation scenarios.

The defense minister's remarks come against a backdrop of rising tensions in the Middle East and escalation between the United States and Iran, with U.S. Central Command recently reporting strikes on Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz and inside Iran itself.
