Nearly six million barrels of confiscated Iranian crude oil, worth approximately $600 million, are being transported across the Atlantic Ocean toward the United States, according to Tanker Trackers.
The shipment comes as Washington maintains economic pressure on Tehran. President Donald Trump told reporters last week that his administration will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced plans for harsher sanctions targeting Iranian aviation beginning September 23, according to earlier reports.
