Israeli forces are continuing operations near the yellow line in the Gaza strip and are working to clear areas between the border and the line.

Forces from the Kfir Brigade, under Division 143, have operated in central Gaza with engineering units, destroying two underground routes totaling about two kilometers, where weapons, rockets and explosives were found.

A senior military official said about eight kilometers of tunnels have been cleared in the area over the past six months, and about 100 terrorists have been killed in Gaza since the start of Operation Lion’s Roar.

The IDF says Hamas is trying to strengthen itself while attention is focused on Iran and Lebanon. Israeli military officials say Hamas is recruiting new operatives, trying to produce weapons and attempting to show control on the ground.

One senior officer said the army is taking into account that Hamas is watching the use of explosive drones in the north and may seek similar capabilities, though the IDF has not identified such weapons in Gaza so far.

Israeli officials say current operations are focused on identifying and striking immediate threats, including militants approaching forces or preparing attacks.

The IDF says its current deployment gives forces stronger control through firepower and surveillance over large areas inside Gaza.

Israel is expected to continue deepening its security approach along the yellow line while preparing for different scenarios, including possible increased military pressure if Hamas refuses to disarm.
