Trump Goes After Soros's Head: DOJ To Investigate Extreme Left Billionare
Trump Escalates War on Soros, Vows RICO Probe Amid Rising Political Violence

President Donald Trump vowed to investigate billionaire George Soros under the RICO Act, escalating claims that Soros funds violent protests.
During the month of September, pro-Palestinian protesters chanting "Free Palestine" and calling Trump "Hitler" disrupted his dinner at BLT Prime, raising White House security concerns over how they knew his location.
Trump noted one protester was "well-dressed" and suggested they were paid, pointing to Soros. "We're going to look into Soros, because I think it’s a RICO case," Trump said. "This is real agitation." The RICO Act targets organized crime, including bribery and extortion. Trump previously demanded on Truth Social that Soros and his son Alex face RICO charges for allegedly backing violent unrest.
Soros, a major Democratic donor, gave $128.5 million to Democrats in 2022. His Open Society Foundations, chaired by Alex, donated $4 million in 2023 to Community Change, linked to D.C.’s "Free D.C." protests, though a spokesperson denied direct funding, stating on X: "We do not support violent protests. Allegations to the contrary are false."
Now, an order from Aakash Singh, a senior official in Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's office, was sent to U.S. attorney's offices in at least seven states, in it there is a list of potential charges prosecutors could take under consideration as they prepare to investigate the Open Society Foundations, ranging from material support to terrorism, arson, wire fraud and racketeering, ABC News reported.
"This DOJ, along with our hard-working and dedicated U.S. Attorneys, will always prioritize public safety and investigate organizations that conspire to commit acts of violence or other federal violations of law," a spokesperson for the Justice Department told ABC News when asked about the directive.
The order follows the September 10 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, shot dead at Utah Valley University.
In an Oval Office address, Trump blamed radical left rhetoric for inciting violence, vowing to dismantle such groups. "This kind of rhetoric is responsible for the terrorism we’re seeing," he said.
Critics, including Rep. Daniel Goldman accused Trump of politicizing justice.
