Trump Scolds Israel: "No More Attacks!". Warns Iran: "Do Not Hit Qatar"
President pledges no further Israeli attacks on Iran's giant shared gas field unless Tehran escalates against innocent Qatar – warning of overwhelming U.S. response to protect Gulf energy security amid soaring oil prices and regional war

President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran late Wednesday following a rapid escalation in the Persian Gulf, where Israel struck facilities linked to Iran's South Pars natural gas field, the world's largest, and Iran retaliated by targeting Qatar's side of the shared resource, sparking fires and major damage at key LNG sites.
In a statement Trump confirmed that Israel conducted a limited strike on a section of South Pars "out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East." He emphasized that the United States had no direct involvement in the operation and that Qatar, which operates the field as the North Field and relies heavily on it for global LNG exports, was entirely unaware and uninvolved.
Iran's response, however, hit Qatari infrastructure, prompting Trump to set a firm boundary:“NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar – In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.”
Trump added that he hoped to avoid such catastrophic destruction due to its long-term implications for Iran's future, but made clear he would not hesitate if Qatar's facilities faced further assault.
The exchange has sent global energy markets into turmoil, with oil prices surging past $108 per barrel as attacks on critical infrastructure raise fears of broader disruption in the Strait of Hormuz. South Pars/North Dome, straddling Iranian and Qatari waters, supplies a massive share of both nations' gas output and is vital to global LNG supply chains.
