Quiet Diplomacy Emerges
Third Country Willing to Take In 10,000 Gazans
Israeli officials confirmed that a third country is ready to absorb Gazans but seeks international support before going public

Participants in a recent Israeli security cabinet meeting were informed that a country in Asia is prepared to absorb up to 10,000 Palestinian refugees from Gaza. The country prefers to remain anonymous for now, as it awaits public commitments from additional nations willing to accept Palestinian refugees as well.
This development was first reported on Thursday evening during the program “Seven with Ayala Hasson” on Kan 11.
During one of the latest cabinet discussions, it was disclosed that the unnamed Asian country has expressed readiness to take in the refugees in the near future. However, it has declined to reveal its identity publicly, pending the involvement of other countries that would also be willing to host Gazans.
U.S. President Donald Trump, who had previously floated the idea of evacuating Gaza of its population, said today during his visit to Qatar that the United States should “take Gaza and turn it into a ‘freedom zone’.”
In February, Trump stated he did not necessarily support Israeli settlement in the Gaza Strip, and added, “The Palestinians have no choice but to leave Gaza.”
At the time, a senior American official told reporters in a briefing that “the president sees the Gaza Strip as a demolition zone. It’s unrealistic to think it can be rebuilt in three to five years—it would take ten to fifteen years. It’s inhumane to force people to live in such an area, among ruins and unexploded ordnance.”
