IDF forces on the eastern border stopped a major weapons-smuggling attempt into Judea and Samaria overnight, bringing down a heavy cargo drone loaded with rifles as it crossed from Jordan.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit cleared for publication that forces detected a suspicious, unauthorised aircraft attempting to cross the eastern border during the night. Troops on the ground identified the drone and, according to images released by the IDF, it appears to have been intercepted through electronic warfare that transferred control of the aircraft to IDF operators and forced it to land.
The cargo drone was carrying a shipment of at least ten weapons and ammunition on their way to Judea and Samaria.
