After a year packed with victories, achievements and a wedding, Israeli fighter Ahavat HaShem Gordon is stepping away from his training routine and the ring. Tomorrow the fighter is scheduled to undergo a short surgery at a hospital in central Israel for a medical matter.

After a year of victories, international fights and his wedding, the Israeli MMA fighter is pausing training for a brief medical procedure at a central Israel hospital
The past year has been one of the most significant in Gordon's career. He racked up a string of victories and gained major exposure in Israel, especially after his widely discussed fight against Turkish fighter Ali Koyuncu. Tension between the two built even before they entered the ring, and Gordon ended the bout with a TKO victory in the second round.
Since then he has continued to collect wins and represent Israel in arenas around the world. At the same time, his personal life gave him reason to celebrate: last summer he married his partner Oren Levi after three years together.
