Inter Miami, Lionel Messi's club in Major League Soccer, announced overnight Saturday that Israeli forward Ido Zeltzer-Zubida has signed a short-term contract with the team. The 21-year-old will be added to the first-team squad for Monday night's away match against Columbus Crew.
Zeltzer-Zubida, son of Israeli media figure Hani Zubida, has been playing for Inter Miami 2, the club's reserve team. Before moving to the United States, he came through the youth systems at Hapoel Tel Aviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Petah Tikva.
The Israeli made his professional debut in 2024 with Inter Miami's reserve side in the MLS NEXT Pro league, recording 18 appearances with three goals and one assist that season. In 2025, he continued his progress with 25 appearances, four goals and seven assists. This season he became the reserve team's top scorer, netting ten goals and adding another assist.
