Alana Hadid Calls For the Destruction of Israel | WATCH
Alana Hadid sparks outrage after posting a video calling for “an end to the state of Israel,” igniting debates over antisemitism, free speech, and the Hadid family’s pro-Palestinian activism.

Yesterday Alana Hadid, a fashion designer, activist, and half-sister to models Gigi and Bella Hadid, posted a video on her social media (originally on Instagram, with nearly 1 million followers) where she expressed a desire for "an end to the state of Israel."
In the short clip, Hadid, who turned 42 earlier this year, reflects on being "married, living your best life," and rhetorically asks, "What else could you want?" before the on-screen text and her implied answer shifts to "An end to the state of Israel," repeated emphatically.
The video, which appears to be a casual, selfie-style rant set against a casual backdrop, has been widely interpreted by critics as a call for Israel's destruction or dismantlement, especially given her family's history of pro-Palestinian advocacy.
Her father, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, has faced accusations of antisemitism for past statements, and Alana herself has been outspoken on Palestinian issues, including leading rallies for Gaza ceasefires and serving as creative director for Watermelon Pictures, a production company behind films like The Voice of Hind Rajab (executive produced by figures such as Brad Pitt and Joaquin Phoenix).
Interestingly, Hadid visited Israel in 2018 to celebrate New Year's with her then-Israeli boyfriend, Elad Idan, which some commentators highlight as ironic given her current stance.
The post quickly drew backlash from pro-Israel voices and Jewish advocacy groups, who labeled it as promoting "genocidal fantasies" and questioned her ties to Hollywood.
Sites like Israellycool shared the video, sparking debates on social media about free speech, antisemitism, and the Israel-Palestine conflict.
As of now, Hadid hasn't publicly responded to the criticism, and the video remains online amid ongoing discussions. This incident fits into a pattern of controversial statements from the Hadid family, including Bella's past anti-Israel posts that have drawn similar accusations of spreading misinformation or hate.
