New Jersey Woman Apologizes After Antisemitic Tirade Following Car Crash
It's not a great idea to lose your mind and hurl ethnic slurs at Jews on Xmas Day, as an NJ woman recently discovered.

A local NJ woman has publicly apologized after a video captured her unleashing a barrage of antisemitic slurs at another driver involved in a minor car accident on Christmas Day, sparking widespread outrage on social media.
The incident occurred when Teresa Dunsheath, a resident of Manalapan, reportedly rear-ended a vehicle carrying Jewish passengers.
Footage of the aftermath, which quickly went viral after being shared by the advocacy group StopAntisemitism, shows Dunsheath in a heated confrontation with the other driver. In the video, she repeatedly refers to him as a "f**king Jew" and emphasizes "he's a Jew" while mocking their concerns about potential injuries and arguing over responsibility for the crash. Her son, Thomas, is visible in the video but does not appear to intervene during the slurs.
The clip, which has garnered hundreds of thousands of views across platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook, drew swift condemnation from Jewish advocacy organizations and online users.
StopAntisemitism, which first posted the video, described it as an example of escalating antisemitic harassment in everyday encounters.
Commenters on social media expressed shock and disappointment, particularly noting Manalapan's significant Jewish population, and criticized local police for not issuing citations beyond those related to the accident itself.
In response to the backlash, Dunsheath posted a public apology on her Facebook page on December 26.
The statement read: "I would like to make a formal apology to the Jewish community for the ethnic slur that I made when I made [sic] on Christmas Day. I was not in my right mind that day I had to [sic] many drinks and not eaten the whole day because I was cooking the entire day. When I heard my son was in an accident, my mind was in such disarray that I totally lost my cool."
She then disabled comments on the post, which some critics interpreted as an attempt to avoid further scrutiny.
Reactions to the apology have been divided. Some social media users viewed it as genuine, with one commenter suggesting she reach out to Jewish organizations to make amends. Others dismissed it as insincere or motivated by damage control, especially after Dunsheath deactivated her LinkedIn profile and her son updated his own social media accounts to remove employment details.
"Teresa Dunsheath truly meant every hateful word she uttered. Her apology is obviously strategic for legal reasons," wrote one X user.
As of December 28, 2025, no criminal charges related to hate speech or bias intimidation have been filed against Dunsheath, according to available reports.
The Manalapan Police Department has not commented publicly on the matter beyond confirming the accident.
