Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. used their Saturday night set at the prestigious Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona to deliver a politically charged pro-Palestinian message.

During their performance, a massive Palestinian flag was projected behind the band, accompanied by the statement: “Israel is committing genocide. Use your voice.” Other slogans, including “Free Palestinehttps://www.jfeed.com/tags/free-palestine,” appeared throughout the set. Social media footage also showed several audience members waving Palestinian flags.

This is not the first time Fontaines D.C. has made their views on the conflict public. In November, while accepting Album of the Year at the Rolling Stone UK Awards, guitarist Carlos O’Connell condemned Israel and its leadership in his acceptance speech, calling attention to the war in Gaza.
