After Shocking UK Arson of Hatzolah Ambulances, X Explodes with Jew Hatred
Disgusting: After an antisemitic arson attack destroyed 4 Hatzalah ambulances in Golders Green, social media is exploding with "victim-blaming" tropes. These are the lies about "Jewish-only" services and the real heroes behind London's volunteer emergency response.

In the hours after the antisemitic arson attack that destroyed four Hatzalah (Hatzola) ambulances in Golders Green last night (March 22–23, 2026), a wave of hateful comments flooded replies, quote tweets, and new posts.
Dozens of accounts, some with thousands of followers, posted variations of the following:
“Why do the Jews need their own ambulances?”
“Why are there Jewish ambulances in Britain?”
“Why do Jews have their own private service when we pay for the NHS?”
Many framed it as “separatism,” “apartheid ambulances,” or accused Hatzalah of getting special treatment or taxpayer money (which is false: it is 100% funded by private Jewish community donations).
Some replies even suggested the attack was somehow justified or that the existence of Hatzalah itself is the real problem.
Jewish accounts and supporters are pushing back hard, pointing out:
Hatzalah is a volunteer emergency medical service (not “Jewish-only” - it treats anyone who calls). It was created in the 1970s because standard NHS ambulances often took too long in dense Orthodox neighbourhoods, and many residents (especially on Shabbat, with language barriers or religious modesty rules) hesitated to call outsiders.
It works alongside (and often supports) the London Ambulance Service, not instead of it, exactly like St John’s Ambulance or other faith/community volunteer groups.
UK police have officially classified the arson as an antisemitic hate crime, with three masked suspects caught on CCTV pouring accelerant on the vehicles outside a synagogue.
The comments are textbook antisemitic trolling, using a violent attack on life-saving vehicles as an excuse to push the “Jews are separate / privileged / suspicious” trope.
It’s disgusting, it’s widespread today, and many people are calling it out as antisemites outing themselves in real time.
