In a dramatic community effort this afternoon, a young child was pulled alive from beneath a collapsed snow igloo on King Solomon Drive in Lakewood.
Tens of Chaverim volunteers rushed to the scene with shovels and worked frantically to dig the child out after the youngster had been buried for more than an hour.
Hatzalah of Central Jersey arrived on scene and is currently transporting the child to the hospital.
The child is reported to be in stable condition, Baruch Hashem.
The Lakewood Scoop first reported the rescue, including video footage showing the intense volunteer effort at the site.
No further details on the child’s age or exact medical condition have been released at this time.
