Rav Yehonasan Yissachar, who holds the third spot on the chareidi Tzeva Shachor party's Knesset list, has withdrawn his candidacy after a meeting with Rav Yitzchak Yosef, the former Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel.
Rav Yissachar, who heads Kollel Toras Yissachar and was meant to represent Sephardi bnei Torah on the list, met with Rav Yosef, who asked him to remove himself from the race.
Rav Yissachar agreed to the request and announced he is stepping down from the Tzeva Shachor list, five days before Israelis go to the polls.
