Israeli Tourist Beaten In Nepal After Recording Hebrew Voicenote
A young Israeli’s dream trip turns into a nightmare in Kathmandu as a brutal, targeted attack leaves him bloodied and fleeing for his life, simply for speaking Hebrew.

An Israeli tourist named Almog Armoza, 25, was violently attacked in Kathmandu, Nepal last night (Monday) in what appears to be a targeted antisemitic assault motivated by his nationality and language.
According to Armoza's account, he was walking along a path to a hostel popular among Israeli travelers while recording a voice message in Hebrew when a group of local Nepalese men overheard him.
They ambushed him from behind, striking him twice in the head with an iron bar or metal rod, causing significant bleeding.
Several assailants then surrounded him and attempted to continue beating him, but he managed to break free and flee back to the hostel.
Nothing was stolen during the incident, leading Armoza to believe he was targeted solely because he is Israeli and was speaking Hebrew.
He lost a large amount of blood and was rushed to a local hospital, where he received stitches and underwent an MRI.
The attack forced him to miss his scheduled flight back to Israel.
Nepalese police launched an investigation this morning and are searching for the suspects.
The local Chabad emissary described the assault as appearing "organized," raising concerns about premeditation.
Jewish and Israeli advocacy groups, including figures like Hen Mazzig, have condemned the incident as a clear case of antisemitism, highlighting the global rise in such attacks against Israelis and Jews.
As of now, no arrests have been reported, and the story has been covered primarily in Israeli and Jewish media outlets, with calls for swift justice and increased safety measures for travelers.
