Zohran strikes again

Mamdani Blames the Jews for Shocking New York Protest | WATCH

Mamdani condemned antisemitism, and simultaneously criticized the New York synagogue for hosting an Israeli real estate expo, leading to accusations that he is "victim-blaming" the Jewish community for the hatred directed toward them.

In a jaw-dropping display of moral inversion, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani once again blamed Israel, and by extension, Jewish New Yorkers, for the skyrocketing antisemitic attacks plaguing the city.

During a press conference yesterday, when directly asked whether his own inflammatory rhetoric against Israel was helping fuel the wave of Jew-hatred, Mamdani refused to take any responsibility. Instead, he delivered this chilling deflection:

“I think that critique of the policies of a government are very much separate from bigotry towards the people of a specific religious faith.”

He repeated the line while criticizing a real estate expo at Park East Synagogue for promoting properties in Judea and Samaria, which he called “a violation of international law” and part of an “effort to displace Palestinians from their homes.”

This comes just one day after violent pro-Palestinian protesters, chanting slogans like “Death to the IDF” and “Globalize the Intifada,” clashed with police outside the same synagogue, injuring an officer and terrifying Jewish families, including those with young children in the on-site daycare.

Mamdani praised the NYPD’s handling of the mob but saved his real outrage for the synagogue itself, a sacred Jewish space, rather than the antisemitic thugs trying to storm it. His repeated insistence that attacking Israel has “nothing to do” with hatred of Jews is not only delusional but dangerously enabling. It is the exact kind of rhetoric that gives cover to those who turn criticism of policy into pogroms against synagogues, schools, and Jewish individuals.

Under Mamdani’s watch, New York, home to the largest Jewish population outside Israel, has become ground zero for antisemitic incidents, according to ADL reports. Yet this self-proclaimed progressive mayor continues to prioritize his anti-Israel activism over protecting Jewish New Yorkers from the hatred his words help stoke.
