Frightening times
Michael Rapaport Warns U.S. Jews: ‘The Cavalry Isn’t Coming’ Amid Rising Antisemitic Attacks
“No one’s coming to save us.” Michael Rapaport’s chilling warning echoes across a frightened American Jewish community, as Molotovs and bullets replace silence with fear and a rising tide of hate goes unanswered.

Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport delivered a sobering message to the American Jewish community, urging heightened vigilance in the face of escalating antisemitic violence. Speaking on his I Am Rapaport podcast, Rapaport addressed two recent attacks, warning, “The cavalry is not coming for us. They don’t give a $%$.“ His blunt remarks, reported by the New York Post today, reflect growing frustration over perceived silence from other communities amid a surge in hate-driven assaults.
On June 1, 2025, in Boulder, Colorado, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national illegally residing in the U.S., attacked a pro-Israel demonstration organized by Run for Their Lives, a group raising awareness for Israeli hostages in Gaza. Using a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails, Soliman injured 12 people, including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor, shouting “Free Palestine” during the assault. According to an FBI affidavit, he admitted to planning the attack for a year with the intent to “kill all Zionist people.” He faces federal hate crime charges and 16 state counts of attempted murder.
Rapaport also pointed to the May 21, 2025, shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., where Elias Rodriguez, 24, allegedly killed two Israeli Embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, while yelling “Free, free Palestine!” during his arrest. The attack, classified as a hate crime, heightened fears of targeted violence against Jewish and Israeli individuals.
Rapaport criticized the lack of public outcry compared to other social justice causes, noting that Jewish communities are increasingly isolated in their fight against antisemitism. The Anti-Defamation League reported a 140% spike in antisemitic incidents in the U.S. since October 2023, with 2025 on track to surpass last year’s record. Rapaport’s call to action, urging Jews to stay proactive and alert, has never been more relevant, as security tightens at Jewish institutions nationwide, from synagogues to community centers, in response to these attacks.
