Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency has revealed a wave of uncovered terror infrastructure established by the Hamas terrorist organization deep inside Europe. The structures were built with the intent of executing severe attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets across the continent.

The operation was conducted in close cooperation with European law enforcement and judicial authorities, including those in Germany and Austria. These joint counter-terrorism efforts resulted in the arrest of several operatives and the exposure of weapons caches intended for use by terror cells on a "day of reckoning" against innocent civilians.

Key Weapons Find in Vienna

A major breakthrough occurred during a special operation by the Austrian Security and Intelligence Service in Vienna last September. The operation uncovered and seized a weapons cache containing pistols and explosive devices.

The subsequent investigation revealed that the weapons belonged to a Hamas operative named Muhammad Naim, the son of senior Hamas Political Bureau member, Bassem Naim, a figure closely associated with Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya.

Evidence suggesting the involvement of the top Hamas leadership emerged from the investigation into Muhammad Naim’s role in building the terror infrastructure in Vienna. The probe uncovered details of a meeting between Muhammad Naim and his father, Bassem Naim, in Qatar last September. This meeting suggests the possible involvement, approval, and authority of the senior Hamas leadership in promoting and establishing terrorism in Europe.

Expanding Threat and European Response

Since the massacres of October 7, the Hamas terrorist organization has been intensifying its efforts to build infrastructure and recruit terror cells in Europe and other regions, mirroring the activities of the Iranian regime and its proxies. The intelligence suggests that Hamas is actively extending its reach, likening its terror networks to the "Hamas Octopus" with arms reaching into the heart of the continent.

The successful joint operations reflect a growing international understanding of the escalating threat posed by Hamas. European law enforcement agencies are also expanding their response into the legal and political realm, actively combating the incitement and radicalization activities promoted by Hamas and organizations operating on its behalf. This includes the recent actions in Germany against charities and religious institutions suspected of being used by Hamas for fundraising and recruiting new operatives. The cooperation between Israeli and European intelligence agencies is vital in dismantling these networks and neutralizing the threat before catastrophic attacks can be executed.
