A police officer was lightly injured Tuesday after being run over during an operational activity in Lod. The incident occurred in the Pardes Snir neighborhood when the officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist for inspection, and the rider tried to flee the scene.
According to the Israel Police spokesperson, during a proactive operation by officers from the Lod station in the Central District, an officer tried to stop a motorcyclist for a routine check. The rider attempted to escape from the officers, and during the escape attempt, he ran over the officer. The officer sustained light injuries and was evacuated for medical treatment.
