Two residents of East Jerusalem were arrested last night (Saturday) after they allegedly attacked security guards at Hadassah Har Zofim Medical Center in the city.

According to a police statement, a report was received about an attack on the hospital's security guards. Police at Shalem station in the Jerusalem district who were called to the scene arrested two suspects before they were transferred for questioning.

The investigation of the case revealed that a number of teens arrived at the hospital last night and asked to enter outside of visiting hours. Security guards refused to let them in, but the two managed to enter despite clear instructions not to do so.

After they noticed that the teens had entered the hospital grounds, they were ushered out. At this point, a fight broke out involving other family members, who started arguing and attacking the guards. As a result of the attack, a security guard was lightly injured and required medical treatment.

The security guards managed to detain two suspects until police arrived at the scene. The two will be brought to a court hearing where a request to extend their detentions will be presented today (Sunday).
