Israeli police have renewed their appeal for public help in finding Yehuda Safraka, a 24-year-old chareidi man from Jerusalem who has been missing for two and a half months.
Safraka was last seen on Shaarei Chesed Street in Jerusalem on 20 July 2026, police said Sunday. He is described as approximately 1.70 metres tall, with dark hair and green eyes, and was wearing a white shirt, dark trousers and a black kippah when he disappeared.
"Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Lev HaBirah station at 02-538-1550 or the police emergency line at 100," the police statement said.
Those close to Safraka have said he may have travelled north to the Tiberias and Har Meron area before vanishing. The region has seen a number of disappearances in recent years, most notably that of Moishy Kleinerman, whose fate remains unknown.
A source involved in the case told Mako earlier this week: "He disappeared without contacting anyone, which makes it very difficult to locate him. He was probably didn't have a phone [with him]."
Police previously issued an appeal for Safraka's whereabouts and are now renewing the call as part of ongoing efforts to achieve a breakthrough in the case.
