MK Avichai Boaron (Likud) addressed the possibility of a national-unity government this morning (Sunday) in an interview with Kol Barama radio, ruling out any arrangement that would exclude the chareidi parties or involve a rotation with opposition figures.
"There will be no unity with rotation, and we will not give up the historic alliance with our chareidi brothers, and we will not give up the alliance with any component of the right-wing bloc," Boaron said.
His statement effectively closes the door on a unity government with Gadi Eisenkot and his partners, since even if the sides could agree on the rotation question, Eisenkot's camp has made it clear it will not sit in a coalition with the chareidi factions over the draft issue.
