The Hasidic community of Boro Park is asking for prayers following the hospitalization of the Liska Rebbe, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Friedlander, after he was diagnosed with internal bleeding.

Rabbi Friedlander was brought to Maimonides Medical Center on Monday after his condition deteriorated sharply. According to his followers, the Rebbe had suffered a fall at his home two days earlier. Although he initially appeared stable, he began experiencing severe weakness Monday morning, prompting doctors to order his immediate transfer to the hospital.

Diagnostic testing at Maimonides confirmed internal bleeding, and physicians performed an urgent procedure to stabilize him. His inner circle is now awaiting additional test results as they hope for a full turnaround.

The medical emergency comes at a notable moment for the Liska dynasty. Just days earlier, the Rebbe had vacated the historic Liska Beis Medrash in Boro Park, a synagogue originally established by his grandfather in 1948, as the building prepares for demolition and reconstruction into a larger, modernized center for the Hasidic court.

Community members have been asked to say Tehilim on the Rebbe's behalf. His name for prayer purposes is Tzvi Hirsh ben Nechama, for a Refuah Shleimah.
